World Customs Organization hosts 12th Partners Meeting of the Green Customs Initiative

On October 3rd and 4th the partners of the Green Customs Initiative met in Brussels for their 12th annual partners meeting.

Joint Side Event at BRS COPs

Green Customs Initiative and ENFORCE (Environmental Network for Optimizing Regulatory Compliance on Illegal Traffic) jointly organized a side event on at the Meetings of the Conferences of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions on 1 May 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland.

National Green Customs Training Workshop in South Korea

On June 7th and 8th a workshop was delivered at Training Centre for Korea Customs in the framework of the Green Customs Initiative. It comprised a combination of case studies, group exercises, lectures, discussions on Waste and Chemicals including Ozone Depleting Substances and on CITES.

Pollution Crime Fighters Recognized for Tackling Illegal Trade

For a second time, enforcement officers and organizations tackling fast-growing illegal trade in chemicals and harmful waste in Asia Pacific were at the centerstage of an award ceremony recognizing their efforts to curb pollution crimes.

Regional Workshop on Green Customs in West-Africa

Asia Pacific Regional Workshop on Environmental Issues concludes successfully

A Workshop on Green Customs matters was conducted from 23 to 27 April 2018 at the WCO Regional Training Centre in Shanghai, China with 60 Customs officers from 20 different WCO Member administrations in attendance. The event was sponsored by China Customs and co-organized with the WCO, who also acted as the facilitator.
